Committees and Volunteers

Many activities conducted on behalf of I-CAR are carried out through dedicated volunteers. Most I-CAR volunteers have full-time jobs and families, yet still make the time and have the passion to promote current technical training to the collision industry. The commitment of I-CAR volunteers has been instrumental to the success of I-CAR and assisted I-CAR in becoming the industry-recognized resource that it is today.

Working directly with I-CAR staff, volunteers assist with I-CAR training programs in their local area. Some of the volunteer’s activities may include:

  • Provide feedback to the I-CAR Admin Support Team on local training needs to establish the most appropriate schedules.
  • Under the guidance of I-CAR, distribute I-CAR marketing materials, including class and qualification test schedules to others in their local area.
  • Where necessary, work with the appropriate program instructor or I-CAR Admin Support to assist in arranging for a suitable classroom with proper equipment.
  • Assisting where possible in obtaining as many products and services donated as possible to help I-CAR control operating expenses.
  • Liaising with local repairers to encourage growing attendance at courses within the area
  • Representing the collision industry as an I-CAR volunteer in a professional manner and in such a way that is unbiased towards any industry segment.

I-CAR volunteers are dedicated to improving the quality and safety of collision repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer. In addition, they are improving the image of their industry by actively working on its behalf.
