I-CAR Instructors:

As an I-CAR Instructor, you will become part of an elite global network of well respected professionals who are becoming recognised as experts within the industry. You will meet and network with people from all sectors of the industry. I-CAR Instructors are provided with professionally developed classroom materials and training on technical and presentation skills.

I-CAR will provide you with all the necessary tools to help you achieve I-CAR Instructor status:

Welding Qualification Supervisors:

Welding Qualification Tests will be made available in certain areas of the I-CAR Live curriculum at a number of locations across the country. Initially testing and accreditation will be offered for Steel GMA (MIG) Welding, and then expanded into the fast growing work area of Aluminium GMA (MIG) Welding. Qualification tests allow professionals the opportunity to prove that they have the skills to perform the tasks required for proper, efficient, and safe collision repairs. Because of the skill sets involved, these hands-on tests must be successfully completed every five years to maintain the qualification.

Opportunities exist for interested parties to be involved in the testing process as supervisors for Student applicants. As a Supervisor you will be required to assist the student in the set up of the test facility, validate his identity and supervise his welding test in accordance with published I-CAR guidelines, and to forward the completed test weld coupon to a nominated engineering facility for examination. Experience in the collision industry and knowledge of correct welding techniques is a distinct advantage.
