Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases I-CAR WORKS WITH ASA TO PROVIDE COLLISION TRAINING AT THE 17TH ANNUAL VISION HI-TECH TRAINING & EXPO Hoffman Estates, IL - January 22, 2009 – I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair will provide collision training for automotive service professionals at the 17th Annual Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo, March 6-7, 2009 at the Overland Park Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri presented by ASA, Automotive Service Association of Missouri and Kansas. “I-CAR is excited about taking part in the ASA event and being able to provide collision training to those attending,” said Mike Miller, Frontline Support Manager for I-CAR. “Automotive service professionals can not afford not to train. In today’s competitive environment it is important that industry professionals stay up-to-date on the latest in recommended collision repair procedures and techniques,” he added. Classes that will be offered include Hybrid Electric and Alternative Fuel Vehicles (ALT02), Steering and Suspension Damage Analysis (DAM06), Fundamentals of Collision Repair (FCR01), Hazardous Materials, Personnel Safety, and Refinish Safety (WKR01), Mechanical Systems Analysis (DAM03), Stationary Glass (GLA02), Advanced Restraint Systems (RES02), Squeeze-Type Resistance Spot Welding (WCS04), Driveability Issues, No-Starts, and Emissions (DRE01), Electronically Controlled Steering and Suspension Systems (STE05), and Electrical Circuits and DVOM usage (ELE01). In addition, the event will also be an opportunity for I-CAR to showcase its newest course offering on waterborne paint technology planned for introduction to the collision repair inter-industry the same week.
