Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases August 16, 2002 NEW 2002 I-CAR® GOLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS® PSAs READY FOR AIR PLAY ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - August 16, 2002 - I-CAR recently produced four new radio public service announcements (PSAs) with the assistance of Radio Access, a communications company specializing in PSAs for not-for-profit organizations. The PSA program was created to share with consumers the importance of looking for the Gold Class Professionals designation when choosing a collision repair facility. The PSAs were released in July 2002 and were sent to 1000 radio stations within the United States. Two new themes were used to portray the importance of the Gold Class Professionals program. The "Psychologist and Patient" (two PSAs; 60 and 30 seconds) theme portrays a distressed patient who has recently been in an auto accident and realizes that a Gold Class Professionals shop is the best choice for correct repairs. The "Improvisation Comedy Show" (two PSAs; 60 and 30 seconds) announcements present an audience member at a comedy show, interacting with the stage members, who is serious about where people should take their vehicles if they are involved in an accident. I-CARs objective with the PSAs is to help consumers understand what to do if involved in an accident and to promote their choosing of highly trained I-CAR Gold Class businesses. I-CAR committees, volunteers and Gold Class businesses are encouraged to use the PSAs in their local marketing programs. You can hear all of the Gold Class PSAs and download them from the I-CAR web site at www.i-car.com. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
