Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases May 20, 2002 AMERICAN HONDA RECOGNIZES GOLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS® BUSINESSES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF I-CAR® TRAINING ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - May 20, 2002 - American Honda Parts Division is introducing a program in the United States to recognize the efforts of Honda and Acura dealership body shops that are I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses. They believe that these facilities are able to "provide efficient, high-quality repairs," made to their customers complete satisfaction. To thank dealers for their commitment to Honda and Acura customers, American Honda Parts Division has given their Gold Class shops recognition awards to display in their facilities. These plaques state, "By meeting the requirements to qualify as and achieve the standards of an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business location, this business has displayed a commitment to the care and satisfaction of our customers." American Honda hopes that these plaques make their Gold Class shops more visible to their customers. American Honda Parts Division has also added the I-CAR logo and a brief description of I-CAR to their collision repair brochures for Acura and Honda dealerships. In the brochure, they explain to customers how to choose the right body shop and the importance of looking for I-CAR technical training certificates when choosing a collision repair facility.
