February 15, 1999 I-CAR SUPPORTERS RECEIVE INDUSTRY HONORS (Rolling Meadows, IL) Several outstanding I-CAR supporters were honored and recognized for their contributions to the Collision Industry at a special ceremony held during the annual BodyShop Video "Night to Remember," which took place at NACE in Dallas on December 2, 1998. The following I-CAR supporters were inducted into the Hall of Eagles, which is an award that acknowledges and recognizes exceptional individuals whose contributions have helped pave the way for the Industry to be where it is today: Gene Hamilton (Sports & Imports Collision, Atlanta, GA) is a member of the I-CAR Board of Directors and the I-CAR Education Foundation Board of Trustees. He has been an active I-CAR Committee Member at both the district and state level for over 12 years. Johnny Mock (Johnny Mock's CARSTAR, Turtle Creek, PA) is an active I-CAR Committee Member, the Owner of an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business, and a donor to the I-CAR Education Foundation. Doug Middleton (Consultant, San Antonio, TX) has been involved in I-CAR from the start and was the I-CAR Southwest Regional Manager for 20 years. He is currently a member of the San Antonio I-CAR Committee. Lou Dilisio (Carter & Carter, Hoffman Estates, IL) assists the I-CAR Tech Centre on course development and was involved with the initial steering committee for UPCR. Robert Anderson (Anderson's Automotive Center, Sheffield Lake, OH) is an I-CAR Education Foundation donor and the Owner of an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business. The following I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses received the Collision Business of the Year Award, which is a peer acknowledgment of the "best of the best" in the Industry: JSI Collision in Cleveland, OH, owned and operated by the Giarrizzo family Thoroughbred Auto Body in Auburn, WA, owned by Leonard Lassak Auto Body World in Phoenix, AZ, owned by David Fait The Innovator of the Year Award was presented to Mike West (Southtowne Auto Rebuild, Seattle, WA) who is the Owner of an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business. Congratulations to all of the award winners, and thank you for your outstanding contributions to I-CAR and the Collision Industry! I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
