June 30, 1998 SURVEY RESULTS IN! -- USERS FIND MULTIPLE USES FOR I-CAR's UPCR (Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR has released the results of its latest survey on uses of UPCR in businesses. Results are as follows: When asked why they subscribed to UPCR, 36% of the users said for training of technicians or appraisers, while an additional 36% said they subscribed because they supported the concept.When asked which position in the repair business uses UPCR, 45% of respondents said the service writer, estimator, or production manager use it most frequently.When asked which area they reference most frequently in the 12 different sections, 82% said they use the repair procedures in section 9 the most.When asked how UPCR helped them the most, 45% said it helped them improve communication between the insurer and the repair business, and it helps communication between management and technicians. "This is a clear indication that UPCR users are finding a variety of ways to utilize UPCR in their businesses," said Dave Heckeler, Director of Marketing and Field Operations.
