I-CAR AND GOLD CLASS PROGRAM RECEIVE INCREASED CONSUMER EXPOSURE

(Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR, and the Gold Class Professionals, program are receiving more consumer exposure now than ever before. That's because I-CAR was highlighted on cable television and two radio programs June 19-21, 1998.

On Friday, June 19th, Paul Morris, an I-CAR Instructor, was a guest on the radio station WRNN (94.5 FM) out of Myrtle Beach, SC. Paul discussed his role as an I-CAR Instructor, the importance of I-CAR training, and why consumers should choose a Gold Class Professionals business for their collision repair needs. Paul's interview was made possible by Harry Reynolds, a key I-CAR Committee Member in South Carolina.

On Saturday, June 20th, Lon Baudoux, I-CAR's South Central Regional Manager and I-CAR Instructor, made a special guest appearance on the C.A.R. (Consumer Automotive Repair) Show, for which I-CAR is a sponsor. Throughout the show, Lon discussed his role with I-CAR, how the collision repair process has changed over the years, and why I-CAR training benefits consumers.

On Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st, the Shadetree Mechanic episode "Modern Automobile Body Repair" aired on TNN (The Nashville Network). The Shadetree Mechanic is hosted by Dave Bowman and Sam Memmolo, both ASE-certified technicians. The episode took viewers on a guided tour of a state-of-the-art facility to show how complex the collision repair process is today. The show also emphasized that it takes trained technicians to properly repair a collision-damaged vehicle and explained what the Gold Class Professionals" designation means and how it benefits consumers.

Production took place at Tennessee Collision Repair, a Gold Class facility in Alcoa, TN. David

Maples, co-owner of Tennessee Collision Repair, appeared throughout the episode to explain the steps that must take place in the repair process of a collision-damaged vehicle. To order the Shadetree Mechanic, please call 1-800-544-8485 and ask for episode #ST7-05. The cost is $15.95 plus shipping and handling.
