December 19, 1997 I-CAR HIRES NEW INSTRUCTOR TRAINING MANAGER: LORI KING-TAYLOR (Rolling Meadows, IL) Lori King-Taylor was recently hired as I-CAR's Instructor Training Manager. In her new position, she is responsible for managing the I-CAR" Instructor Training Program, including: developing Instructor training materials, overseeing the training process for Instructor candidates, and coordinating all Instructor Qualification Workshops in the United States. She will work closely with the I-CAR Regional Managers, National Managers and the Canadian Training Manager to determine the number of Instructors needed in each region and to continue broadening the Instructor base. Lori holds a Master of Education degree in Human Resources - Training & Development, from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Trade and Industrial Education, from Athens State College. Before coming to I-CAR, she was employed as Manager of Faculty Development Programs at International Automotive Service Institute (IASI) in Birmingham, AL. In the past, Lori was the Director of the Career Development Center at Palm Beach Atlantic College, Career Development and Job Placement Coordinator at Palm Beach Community College and as Manager of Membership Development and Post-Secondary Programs for National Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). "Lori's extensive background in 'training the trainer' and her knowledge of the most current training technologies will be a great asset to I-CAR," said Tom Mack, I-CAR Executive Vice President. "We are excited to have her aboard." I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
