Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases: 1997 Press Releases April 28, 1997 UNIFORM PROCEDURES FOR COLLISION REPAIR (UPCR) RELEASED (Rolling Meadows, IL) The Uniform Procedures For Collision Repair (UPCR) has been mailed to the first subscribers of this new product offered by I-CAR. Orders received between February and April have been mailed to more than 60 subscribers. The first disc of UPCR, developed over four years with the cooperation of more that 100 active reviewers, contains 66 procedures in over 12 categories. Each procedure has undergone an extensive review process. Procedures covered include: Plastic Repair, Welding, Bumpers, Doors and Hoods, and Refinishing. UPCR was developed to help the many industries concerned with accurate and uniform collision repair procedures. Because the need for them was voiced, I-CAR undertook the mission. With them will come enhancements of many kinds, and new and exciting features will be added. UPCR is available as an annual subscription and a new disc will be mailed every three months. Subscription prices are as follows: $425 (US dollars) or $535 (Canadian dollars) for non-Gold Class businesses, $395 (US dollars) or $495 (Canadian dollars) for Gold Class businesses (plus sales tax where applicable).
