I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION THANKS FISCAL 2005 AND 2006 CONTRIBUTORS

I-CAR Education FoundationThe I-CAR Education Foundation would like to thank all contributors who have offered support during the Fiscal 2005 year and Fiscal 2006 year to date. "The financial support of the collision industry is critical to help attract young people into the industry and develop the latest training materials for their schools," said Ron Ray, Executive Director of the Foundation. "This support allow us to operate independently of I-CAR to develop the products, programs, and services that we have today, such as the new collisionkids.org and collisioncareers.org web sites and the PACE+ST3 apprenticeship program, or continue to develop innovative ideas and recruiting materials for career and technical schools and colleges."

Over the past several years, the Foundation has also seen an increase in support from the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses. "I-CAR is extremely pleased to see Gold Class Professionals businesses donating to such a worthy cause," commented I-CAR Director of Business Development and North American Operations Rick Tuuri. "These businesses have already demonstrated a commitment to training on the latest technology. Donating to the I-CAR Education Foundation also demonstrates their commitment to investing in the future of the collision industry. I-CAR is proud to work with such dedicated professionals."

"The Education Foundation’s successes would be far fewer without help from these industry contributors," said Clark Plucinski of True2Form Collision Repair Centers and the I-CAR Education Foundation Board Chairman. "All of the continued support does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.  It is through these organizations and individuals that the Education Foundation has been able to fundamentally change the way collision repair is taught in the school system today."

The companies, individuals, career and technical schools and colleges, and I-CAR committees listed below have not only contributed financially to the I-CAR Education Foundation, but have also contributed much of their time on a volunteer basis. The I-CAR Education Foundation staff; Chris Baldwin - Graphics, Media & Web Designer, Melissa Bulak - Products & Services Specialist, Robyn Corner - Receptionist; Ron Ray - Executive Director, Michelle Shotkoski - Planning & Project Manager, and Russell Thrall III - Technical Services Manager, would like to thank these companies and individuals for their continued support.

I-CAR TECH CENTRE INAUGURAL GOLF OUTING BENEFITS TWO LOCAL CAREER AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES

The I-CAR Tech Centre held their inaugural golf outing on August 24, 2005.  The outing was a success as 60 players from throughout Wisconsin and Illinois participated. Congratulations to the first place team of Jeff Eiden, Scott Kloiber, Scott Eiden, and Shane Wallace.

Through the generous contributions of individuals, and local collision industry partners, funds were raised that will be allocated to the I-CAR Education Foundation, scholarships for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Auto Collision Repair and Refinish program students, and scholarships for Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) Auto Collision Repair and Refinish program students.

Jason Bartanen, Technical Development Manager for the I-CAR Tech Centre states, "On behalf of the I-CAR Tech Centre and the I-CAR Education Foundation, I would like to thank all of the sponsors, participants, and volunteers for their outstanding support and look forward to hosting this event again in 2006." The 2nd Annual I-CAR Tech Centre golf outing has been planned for August 16, 2006 at Irish Waters in Freedom, WI. Mark your calendars now!

"It is through this type of local support from organizations and individuals that the Education Foundation has continued to offer help to career and technical schools and colleges that need financial assistance for collision repair programs," said Clark Plucinski of True2Form Collision Repair Centers and the I-CAR Education Foundation Board Chairman.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR I-CAR TRAINING PATH TASK AREAS: CORE TRAINING PROGRAMS

I-CAR Recommended Training PathsWith over seventy training programs, including many new vehicle-specific programs, and three qualification tests, the I-CAR training curriculum provides the collision industry a thorough understanding of the collision repair process.

All collision industry professionals may now follow one I-CAR training paths document. Organized by task areas, the training paths allow individuals to select specific training programs and qualification tests that meet their needs.

To select the training that is right for you:

  • Identify the program titles that you are interested in
  • Read the program descriptions online or in the I-CAR Training Catalog
  • Based on the descriptions, determine if the program meets your training needs

Remember: a good training program teaches you new information while incorporating and reviewing some material that you may already know and use.

Below are the I-CAR training programs listed under the Core Training Programs task area.

Core Training Programs

A complete listing of the I-CAR training programs and their I-CAR Recommended Training Paths task areas are available online.
