I-CAR INTRODUCES WEBEX INTERNET TRAINING
Rick Tuuri, I-CAR’s Director of Business Development, stated that, "I-CAR is pleased to provide this additional support for our existing instructors across North America. Currently, it’s not uncommon for an instructor to have to travel to teach I-CAR programs, sometimes at no small expense of personal time, money, or both. With this technology, we will be able to deliver some programs with an instructor in a convenient location and leverage the capabilities of the Internet rather than placing additional demands on our instructors while also increasing the availability of I-CAR training." I-CAR Manager of Tech Centre Operations Lori Barrington said, "The main delivery of training for I-CAR is, and will continue to be traditional live classroom delivery. However, using WebEx as an additional delivery option vastly increases our ability to provide training to areas throughout North America. I-CAR "live" training delivered via WebEx will offer the same technical content and information as found in the traditional class setting. The only difference is that the instructor is not in the same location as the student, but instead is in a "virtual" classroom environment, communicating in "real-time" via the internet and telephone." Currently, the following I-CAR training programs are available in the WebEx delivery format:
Visit the I-CAR WebEx Internet Training section online and utilize a search function to find a WebEx training program near you. Additional information about WebEx training and how to become a host are available online or through contacting your I-CAR regional manager at 800.422.7456.

I-CAR ENHANCED DELIVERY TRAINING CURRICULUM LAUNCH COMPLETEI-CAR has completed the development of the initial launch of the Enhanced Delivery training curriculum. Over sixty individual modularized training programs, including three hands-on prep and qualification tests, are now available to the collision industry. I-CAR Technical Development Manager Jason Bartanen said, "This is an important milestone in the evolution of I-CAR training. The Enhanced Delivery curriculum has had a significant impact on the collision industry due the support of our dedicated instructors, volunteers, and industry partners that participated in the research, development, and delivery of the most instructional collision repair training available today. While the initial development is completed, the curriculum will be continuously updated and expanded to include new technologies and repair procedures that will be required to keep pace with new vehicle technology and other changes in the collision industry." Enhanced Delivery programs offer in-depth coverage of both conventional and innovative collision repair technologies and processes. These programs feature knowledge-based training as well as performance-based testing, with an increased emphasis of hands-on exercises. To successfully complete an Enhanced Delivery program, students are required to attend class and pass the post-test administered at the completion of the program. As collision repair and classroom delivery technology advances, I-CAR is committed to meeting the industry’s changing needs. A complete listing of the available I-CAR Enhanced Delivery curriculum is available in a downloadable PDF below.
