ONLINE TRAINING SURVEY- SATURN VUE LOWER RAIL SECTIONINGThe I-CAR Tech Centre is asking for your help in evaluating a vehicle-specific online training program recently developed in cooperation with the Saturn Corporation. The online training covers the vehicle-specific procedures for sectioning the lower rail on the 2002 Saturn Vue. This online training program not only provides the Saturn Vue service manual steps for performing the lower rail sectioning procedures, but also provides a detailed look at how those steps should be performed. To develop this training, I-CAR technicians performed each step of the sectioning procedure under the guidance of Saturn engineers. Detailed text, close-up pictures, and videos document the entire repair process. Additionally, topics on part locations, equipment, materials, information requirements, and related repair procedures help answer all those repair questions that seem to surface on every repair. There are even some interactive quizzes to ensure that you understand the repair procedures. This online training program is NOT designed to be a regular feature of the I-CAR e-newsletter. As a matter of fact, this is the only one that I-CAR has currently developed. However, you are invited you to review this trial edition and complete the product survey at the end of the training program. Your survey input about this product is important for I-CAR and will be used to determine the feasibility of future online training products. Please select the link below to start the Saturn Vue lower rail training. To ensure that your computer is properly configured, please be sure to read the software plug-in requirements and other information on the first page of the program. To ensure that your input is used in our evaluations please complete the training demonstration and survey no later than November 23, 2003. |

VENDORS SHOW FULL SUPPORT DURING FIRST I-CAR NORTH COAST EXTREME EVENTOn October 10-11, 2003 the I-CAR Northeast Ohio Committee held its first North Coast Extreme Event and local vendors showed strong support. For the 250 event attendees, there were a total of 42 vendors. This event was so successful that some vendor participants were unable to participate due to the fact that booth space was completely filled. Next years event promises to be even bigger and better!Vendors included:
Misc. Extreme Event Vendors BoothsThrough the incredible generosity of many businesses and individuals, there were a wide variety of prizes that were awarded during the event. The grand prize was an Auto Arc 115/135 MIG Welder, with stand from Farley Sales. This was awarded to Shawn Winters, 17, a senior from Willoughby South High School Vocational Auto Body in Cleveland. "The award could not have gone to a better person. He is a very enthusiastic young man who plans on a career within the collision industry," said committee member Larry Fielder, who helped organize the event. Over 50 students attended the I-CAR Enhanced Delivery training programs that were provided during this event. The I-CAR Northeast Ohio Committee has seen a strong surge in I-CAR class registration since the event, and with the committees mission being that of awareness and education, the event was obviously a tremendous success. Northeast Ohio Committee District Chair Norm Kuppe, who helped make this informative and educational event possible through many hours of hard work, recently became ill and was not able to attend. He was sorely missed and we wish him a speedy recovery!
