INTRODUCING - COLLISION REPAIR 3000! For the first time since 1995, I-CAR has created a sequel to its largest and most popular training course, CR2000. I-CARs new course, titled CR3000, will be introduced October 1, 2001! This course consists of eight Enhanced Delivery training programs and provides a comprehensive overview of the collision repair process. Over the next several months, CR3000 will replace the traditional CR2000 course. For students who have partially completed CR2000, the course will continue to be offered on a limited basis during the transition to CR3000. The new course offers updated and expanded content, as well as state-of-the-art classroom technology. CR3000 students will enjoy more classroom participation and receive CD-ROMs including all classroom exercises and video demonstrations for later review. The Enhanced Delivery programs included in CR3000 are:
Together, these eight programs give students a basic foundation in the key areas of collision repair and offer more in-depth coverage of technical subjects than ever before. Students who complete CR3000 will receive 8 Gold Class points. To find a CR3000 class near you after October 1, check our online class schedule. I-CAR has reorganized its Enhanced Delivery course structure to be more tailored to the needs of individual students. I-CARs traditional courses combined class subjects as a series of interrelated units. The Enhanced Delivery curriculum, on the other hand, consists of independent, modularized training programs that precisely target your training needs. As a result, I-CAR has created a more logical course breakdown that makes it easier for students to choose and complete the courses they need. As new Enhanced Delivery training programs are introduced, they will continue to reflect the in-depth, modularized nature of this curriculum. For a complete listing of Enhanced Delivery programs available, you can view or download the schedule below in PDF format. Available programs are highlighted in red. You can also search our online class schedule to find an Enhanced Delivery program near you.

GOLD CLASS: AN EVOLUTION The I-CAR Gold Class Professionals program has evolved over the years to become the most widely known training recognition program in the collision repair industry. Achieving the Gold Class Professionals designation shows consumers and other industry professionals a strong commitment to technical training and a desire to achieve ongoing excellence. From its inception in 1979, I-CAR has become the most comprehensive, widely-distributed training organization in the industry. As I-CARs reputation grew, collision repair shop owners asked for a way that they could demonstrate to their customers their level of technical training and professionalism. As a result of these numerous requests, I-CAR created the Gold Class Professionals program in 1990. When the Gold Class program was first created, only students who completed I-CAR training received Gold Class points. As the program developed, I-CAR sought a way to recognize and include other quality training from vocational-technical schools and industry training providers. This would eliminate redundant training and reduce the time and expense of technical training throughout the industry. After receiving valuable input from all segments of the collision industry, I-CAR created the Industry Training Alliance program in 2001. The Industry Training Alliance has allowed Gold Class to become an inclusive and universally recognized industry training designation. Gold Class points can now be awarded to students who receive technical training from Industry Training Alliance members. Click here if you would like a complete listing of Alliance training providers or to read more about the Alliance. Gold Class has evolved over the years and is continuously changing in response to the needs of the industry. As a true industry standard, Gold Class is now recognized as a benchmark of quality and professionalism. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding I-CARs Gold Class Professionals program, please contact Marketing Specialist Jennifer Wilkens at jennifer.wilkens@i-car.com. |
